Jobs, Education and the Future 4

The Labour Supply curve

The root causes for the situation in the Middle East and spreading around the world, is the lack of Jobs, dwindling trust in the governments to provide the bare necessities of life, and the uncertainty that goes with it, and that of the Future. ” In a recent survey of Middle Eastern youth, the No. 1 wish of the young in nine countries was to live in a free country, although, to be sure, jobs and the desire to live in well-run, modern societies ranked very high as well.”* I am making a very broad statement, that needs to be analyzed more. Freedom and the right to choose ones destiny is  a pre-requisite and Jobs are required for people to survive in this world, without them we can not chase our dreams or earn a living as a result.

Yet, many jobs, render very little in terms of monetary gain for the individual in these countries being less than 2$ a day. The labour market world-wide is over saturated with applicants applying for the limited number of job opportunities available to them. Therefore, we must find new ways in which to employee the hundreds of thousands of new college/university graduates that our Education system is turning out each year.

In the not far distant past, a college education got you in the door at most Companies. It was your guarantee to a better life, and it provided you with the expectation of owning your own home, having a family and sending your children to school. Otherwise, follow in the foot-steps of the parents. That is no-longer the situation. Yes, there are the wealthy families that have made it. And yes, they can send their children to the best schools. What about the others, that can not afford the same schools, yet they work and struggle to make ends meet so they can say “my child has a college/university degree.” The point I am making is; No matter who you are the Job Market is getting smaller. This affects everyone, and this is our dilemma. What do we do with the over abundance of Graduates.

Our governments speak about job creation. How can this be achieved, when our world economic situation is in a state of chaos. So we are confronted on multiple fronts, the same as being in a war.  Only this is a war, of human survival and not about Presidents, Dictators, Kings, corrupt politicians and power mongers. The people need to know that there is a future, sometimes change can make the future look a little brighter, for the moment. But that can be, short lived, as time passes and the changes the people expected do not come. People naturally become anxious and depressed when they are seeking a way to assure their future.  Change is the right word, if it is used to address the plight of the people and something comes of it.

The future doesn’t look so bright, look around you and see, your neighbors, your friends and the general population have problems. Lack of food due to Drought and over population, lack of jobs due to struggling Economies and too many Applicants, Border tensions, Protesters crying in the streets for change, to make it better. Innocent people being shot-down, because they are trying to make a difference in their respective counties. Then we have the change in the environment which, is also adding to the plight of the people. Where is all  of this taking us!

The Middle-Easts’ Quest for Freedom!

Middle Eastern Countries are on the brink of change driven by suppressed people, living under Stong-handed, corrupt dictators, and Ethnic clans. The people have now come out from under their tents, being led by young people who are crying for change. To make their lives better. They want to be free, they want to be able to make their own choices and not be beaten or restricted in their thinking. To achieve this, some will die, some will be persecuted, some will simply dissapear..being taken away in the night, never to be found.  The price we pay for freedom is not cheap. The young people in these countries understand that only through Democracy can they prosper. Governments need to understand the plight of its people, the hunger for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

When I write about being free, does not imply that all people want to be free, some like it just the way it is. They had rather go about their daily lives earning two dollars a day, just getting by. Or is simply existing, these people are limiting their children from getting an education, limiting their families from the lively hood they deserve. They are told by the Governments of the land, they are safe and not to worry. You, stay where you are, make no noise, keep your silence or we will come upon you and your family will suffer the consequence.  Is this the life you want? No access, no Freedom, no liberty and no money. What are your chances of survival? The world is changing, and if you do not change with it, you will stay in your on private hell. This is why the cost of change is high! There is a time to speak and a time to be silent. But you must decide, for it is only you, that can Unite and stand together to make the change happen. United you can win!

I believe in being free, to make my choices, to set the direction in my life. I am responsible for the well-being of my family, my children’s education, my home, my country and my love for my God. It is all about choices, and how much am I willing to pay to have these freedoms.

I say, we must get rid of the beasts and make our way, at whatever the costs, for nothing is free. Let us not be fooled by those in power, for their day has come. Change in upon us, the end time is now! Do not live in fear, for fear is only fear and is nothing more. Face it head-on and great things will come unto you.

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns tens crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world… 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” Revelation 13: 1-8, 16-18.

Jobs, Education and The Future 3

Have you found that Job, the President speaks about? Has he told you where it is, and how to get it. Wake up people, we all know that politicians world-wide tell a great story with silver tongues, and smooth talk. They tell us what we want to hear, not about reality and the cost of making real jobs available. It like on the internet, sign-up it’s free and then reality comes into play, just send $49.99 and we will send you this free stuff. Wow! That is absolutely “No Cost.” Yeah, sure! Jobs will arrive when the economy improves. My question is? How-long as a people, can we survive in this state of flux?

We speak about Education being the root to success and the changing future. But, is that true? Think about it! Many well-known entrepreneurs never finished their education. What they had and have is a wish and a desire to make something from an idea, maybe that idea at the time seemed far-fetched. But they pursued it with every ounce of strength they could muster. Ideas come from the mind and the dreams of people of all ages and nationalities around the world. Help, the world, help yourselves if you have an idea and a dream, follow it where-ever it may take you.Get smart, use your intelligence. If you can go to University do so, and if you can’t don’t let that stop you from pursuing your dream. It is never too late to learn and make something out of yourselves. It is all in the mind and what you do with it.   Do not depend on the Governments of the world to provide for you.

Governments will take your tax dollars and spend it on other-things, outside of your reach, outside of your home, outside of your Country. They will support other countries that are failing, other societies that are outside of the scope of what your personal needs are. So how does this lead to your future getting better, your family conditions improving, and you relaxing in your old-age. We are depending on this generation and future generations to support our way of living, our standards of well-being, and our Freedoms.

We must find the solutions to assure us the populace, of survival. That may come by changes in our way of living. People have survived for thousands of years by making changes in their daily lives. Accepting to venture forward, to experiment and discover things that are unknown and Space isn’t so far away.  We the people are strong, and we are the bosses of our Governments, not them. Governments come and go, and rightly so. We must stay united, and believe in our selves, that we are in charge of our destiny. Make us proud, To call my country “My Home”

Jobs, Education and the Future -2

I have been doing some research on the above topic, and arrived at an opinion which is,  Jobs are not for the lite hearted. They can no longer be assumed to be available when I am ready.  Jobs, are there for the serious-minded individuals that are looking to better themselves, provide for their families and or girl-friends or boy-friends. Jobs, are the source of income for any people, rich, middle class or the poor. To my chagrin, People are not ready for the Jobs. Because, Jobs have changed; no longer are they the mundane, boring, robotic, day on day “thing to do.” Jobs require; Innovation, Education, Technology, Competitiveness and personal drive to achieve.

How does this generation and Future generations win jobs, gain success and happiness. It is not free! One must study in schools to gain knowledge and skills to be successful. Where does this start? It should be from an early age; Kindergarten, Elementary, High School, University, Graduate School, Internships and then What? Our Universities are delving into this subject, there are recommendations, but who can afford a 100K$ tuition? There must be a better avenue, without limiting our youth to a bona-fide education.

We have thousands of new University graduates coming into the market each year. No jobs, are available!  What is happening is that we are creating a new era of smart people, out of work people, nothing to do people, and we are wasting our greatest human resource in building our future. This is the dilemma, we are faced with! So who is going to correct this human resource catastrophe? We hear words without listening! Our Governments speak without meaning! We are too busy looking at the problem, and not busy enough doing something about it. However, Time is passing, the future has arrived and it will arrive over and over and all we have to see is the past.

Our economies are in a death-defying spiral, the governments of the world are failing the people, there needs to be change! We can not live in a world that is over-run by deficit spending, corruption and the quest for over whelming unlimited power of the Elite.

My World, what have we done to ourselves? What can we say, that has not been said before! What is truly new today, that is old tomorrow. Where are our leaders of the future? We say they are being groomed today! But, what does this mean when we have thousands of Graduates, that can not get the chance to show their Godgiven talents now, this day this time. “Because there are no Jobs for them today!”
